Problem Space
I curated the user interface of this website, designed for an architecture firm named ARQ that needed a website for their most emblematic and design-driven projects, called "Sublime Projects." The architecture studio is elegant and established, yet modern and bold.
The sublime projects needed to come to life as architectural gems that stand triumphantly on the podium of major industry competitions.

See the interactive prototype or read the design steps I followed below for more insight.
Moodboard
ARQ is:

elegant, bold, triumphant, and modern

In order to create a moodboard, I researched images that visually represented these adjectives.
Colours
The coulor palette, featuring neon yellow, purple, midnight blue, and ivory, exudes elegance with a youthful touch, bringing freshness to the overall visual identity
Typography
I decided to used two fonts in this website.

Roboto Regular: a versatile and modern sans-serif font characterized by its clean lines and balanced proportions. It offers a straightforward and professional appearance, making it suitable for conveying information with clarity.
Fira Code Light: a refined and minimalistic monospaced font specifically designed for coding and programming purposes. It features a light weight, providing a subtle and sleek aesthetic.
Logo
The logo, representing the full name ARQ in its three letters, uses geometric shapes such as a triangle in place of the A and a circle for the Q, aiming to convey an elegant fusion of modernity and classicism.
The choice of geometric elements reflects precision and order, emphasising the sophisticated approach of the architectural studio.
The combination of shapes and negative spaces creates a distinctive design that suggests a unique visual identity.
Wireframes

I started conceptualising the final product through sketching various ideas on paper.
I selected the most promising concepts in a final wireframe and translated it into a mid-fidelity prototype using Figma that I then tested with potential users.
Hi-fidelity Design
I was finally able to create the final hi-fi design of my website in Figma.

Key takeaways & next steps

This was a very interesting project to be working on. I really enjoy designing for architecture, and weaving together elegance with a fresh, modern vibe posed a challenge that I gladly embraced.

The next steps will be to create a design system, considering potential future integrations as the firm and its sublime projects expands.
Then I will be actively assisting developers in bringing this website to life.
I'm looking forward to testing the performance with futures users for future improvements.
