Problem Space
This website had to establish a multimedia park atop Padova's historic walls. In collaboration with the art director Francesco Borella, our mission unfolded in the design and development of an interface that served not just as a website but as a dynamic portal.
This platform, a player in a European-funded project, not only provided information about the ambitious endeavour but also wove together narratives about the historical walls, city landmarks, and the dedicated team orchestrating the initiative.

Development
Through user research we decoded the varied preferences of their visitors to ensure seamless access to all the insights about the project, the historic walls, and the rich cultural tapestry of the city. With user personas, wireframes, and prototypes, we charted the user journey, delivering an experience that resonated with the diverse user base of tourists, history scholars, and residents.

Visuals and styles reflected the project's identity and historical relevance, with a particular focus on typography and colour, a passion that unites me and Francesco.
An interactive map aligned with the brand identity was designed to provide quick access to the landmarks.

Final Design
Interactive map:
The website was presented inside the historic walls to a wide audience that authentically represented our user base. It received widespread appreciation, affirming that it reflected the diverse preferences and expectations of our users.
Key takeaways

Enhancing digitisation in historically rich locations such as this proves to be an invaluable and enriching experience for a designer. Making something traditionally based on paper and research available online has been an interesting challenge that I am curious to explore again.
